Websites for readers | All about books

Reading is personal and private endeavor, but sometimes you want more than your book-club schmoozing outing. If you’re like us at Oceanside, we want more of the things we love— reading!

Check out the sites that we visit often! Find out what’s happening in the literary world. Read essays and short stories from emerging writers. Feel inspired to create your own story. Explore as a reader, because there are other people who vibe with you!

Literary Hub
Literary Hub is an organizing principle in the service of literary culture, a single, trusted, daily source for all the news, ideas and richness of contemporary literary life. There is more great literary content online than ever before, but it is scattered, easily lost—with the help of its editorial partners, Lit Hub is a site readers can rely on for smart, engaged, entertaining writing about all things books.

Electric Literature
Electric Literature is a nonprofit digital publisher with the mission to make literature more exciting, relevant, and inclusive. We are committed to publishing work that is intelligent and unpretentious, elevating new voices, and examining how literature and storytelling can help illuminate social justice issues and current events. We are particularly interested in writing that operates at the intersection of different cultures, genres, and media.

Goodreads
Goodreads is the world’s largest site for readers and book recommendations. Our mission is to help people find and share books they love

Book Riot
Book Riot is the largest independent editorial book site in North America, and home to a host of media, from podcasts to newsletters to original content, all designed around diverse readers and across all genres. dedicated to the idea that writing about books and reading should be just as diverse as books and readers are. We began with the goal of leading a new discussion around books, readers, and publishing. Individually and collaboratively, we do the work each day to innovate fresh content and services to our readers, amplify marginalized voices, and challenge ourselves and our community to be inclusive.

BNTeenblog
For anyone who LOVES young adult books. Barnes & Noble blog provides lists, articles, interviews and has a podcast on all things YA.
