The Oceanside Library has circulating Kindle devices!  Patrons must be Oceanside Library cardholders 18 years of age and older with a valid Oceanside Library card in good standing.  Kindles circulate for 28 days (with no renewal) and are loaned on a first-come, first-served basis.  We are circulating three types of Kindles:
Kindle Paperwhite (user instructions)
Kindle Fire HD8 (user instructions)
Kindle Fire Kids (user instructions)

All types are preloaded with a generous library of age appropriate titles to read.  Here are the title lists (in MS Excel format):
Adult Fiction/Non-Fiction Titles

Kids Titles

Kindles are checked out at the Circulation Desk once you fill out our Kindle Loan Agreement.  If you would like to print out a copy (using the provided MS Word link) and bring it in, that's fine too!  Devices are loaned out with a USB cable, power adaptor, case, and instruction card and all pieces must be returned in the blue pouch we provide.  Here's a copy of our rules and regulations.

Please note: all Kindle devices must be returned to the Circulation Desk during business hours.  Kindles may not be returned in the Book/AV drop.  Kindles may not be returned to another library.

Downloading new apps, content, or titles is prohibited.  Please not not enter personal information or make any purchases with a Library Kindle device.
